The announcement signals a continued improvement in product quality efforts since the company hired quality expert Richard Fenwick toward year’s end. Protect and Manage any Mac or Windows Application

QuickLicense 3.0 empowers developers to protect and manage any software license for Mac or Windows applications. The product includes an API for complete developer control and the AddLicense tool to wrap compiled applications within a protective license with no programming required.

Software vendors can protect their investment and increase sales by ensuring only licensed customers can use their Mac OS X and Windows products. QuickLicense can protect any software application written in any programming language including desktop applications, plugins, spreadsheets or multi-media content. The product includes an API for complete developer control and the AddLicense tool to wrap compiled applications within a protective license with no programming required.

QuickLicense 3.0 empowers the developer to configure licenses for perpetual applications, limited trial editions or software subscriptions that support a variety of human controlled or web automated activation procedures. Unicode text enables the developer to customize the user interface to support any language. An application can even replace the runtime Activation dialog. A vendor can securely blocked or unblocked an activated license. Individual features can be securely enabled when purchased by a customer.

AddLicense provides drag and drop license protection. The new version adds powerful language customization features, supports multimedia applications that depend on external files and automates the evaluation, purchase and activation process with the new Try, Buy and Register option.

A user can activate and use a protected application on any computer even without an Internet connection. Activation codes provided by phone, email or instant web page can work with any download or retail distribution process. Software activation can be automated with the Safe Activation Service, WebActivation hosted on a vendor's web server or through an Activation Request web form generated from QuickLicense.

QuickLicense can manage customer information collected during the activation process. Customer data can be imported, searched, organized or exported to a spreadsheet, database or to MarketBuddy for sales automation and customer support. The batch email capability allows messages for product announcements or periodic subscription codes to be individually customized and precisely targeted.
