TRAVEL PILOT GPS
Blaupunkt has launched the TravelPilot range of in-car GPS systems in the Indian market. The range includes the TravelPilot 100, TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 and TravelPilot 300 which will be sold through company dealers as well as reputed car accessory stores and new car dealerships. The systems would use map data from 'MapmyIndia' with map coverage across 174 cities with details of national highways, state highways and other major roads apart from providing info on points of interest like restaurants, ATMs, hotels, movie halls etc.
The entry level model, Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100 navigation system delivers intuitive operation, high speed route calculation and accurate route guidance using visual and acoustic recommendations. The Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100 navigation system is priced at Rs. 18,990.
The Blaupunkt TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 has 'Plug and Play' installation and uses colour menus and intuitive instructions. The device allows the uploading of additional navigation data and playback of music files and JPG images. The TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 is priced at Rs. 21,990.
The high end Blaupunkt TravelPilot 300 can be operated via a touch screen and offers a variety of driver assistance functions, which include an integrated light sensor to automatically switch the display from day to night illumination as required and five different route options. This unit also has integrated Bluetooth to accommodate mobile phone and entertainment functions like hands-free, direct dialing, play MP3 files etc.The TravelPilot 300 will set you back by Rs. 25,990
Though Blaupunkt's range is priced at a premium like all their products, buyers can be sure of lasting quality from the German manufacturer. If you need a GPS system for your ride, do give these a shot.
