New Husqvarna bikes for 2009

Husqvarna, the famous motard and off-roading brand recently introduced two new Enduro models for 2009

The four-stroke TE310 is based on the TE250 while incorporating various modifications. The same 250cc engine has been bored to 310cc for added power. Compared to the smaller TE250, the 310 uses a 1kg lighter frame with new wavy disc brakes. The bike also has a new exhaust system and the rear suspension has renewed settings to improve rider comfort. On the looks front, it has been styled more aggressively as reflected by new wheels and an electronic instrument panel which is compact and easy to read.

The TC450 gets minor upgrades for 2009

The bigger Husqvarna TC 450 for 2009 is slightly modified from last year’s model and like the TE310 features a lighter frame and wavy disc brakes. It loses one kilo as compared to the model it replaces. It also has a titanium exhaust that helps engine responsiveness at low revs.

The bikes were revealed in a preview at the Barcelona show, and Husqvarna also presented the two machines at the Italian Motocross Grand Prix at Mantova on May 17 and 18. Both the TE 310 and TC450 have been tested and developed by Andrea Bartolini and current MX3 riders Thomas Allier and Christophe Martin. Prices are yet to be announced.
